Implements and maintains the merchandise departments retail store design and visual merchandising strategies and standards.
Provides display solutions for the merchandise department, through creative merchandise presentations, fashion awareness and interpretation, store layout, and signage.
Job Responsibilities of the Asst. Visual Merchandiser
Implements visual store displays, sign packages, thematic overlays, and product placement in accordance with Busch Gardens Williamsburg visual merchandising standards. Assists in creating store signage.
Coordinates special event store implementations, focusing on full store thematic change outs and holiday visual design for Christmas Town, Howl O Scream, Bier Fest, and Wine Festival.
Assist in creating and implementing shop window designs and all related signage, graphics, and props.
Develops props, graphics, and set pieces from scratch to be used in visual store displays including but not limited to painting, carving, molding, and sketching designs from raw materials to finished products.
Helps in the maintenance of shop floor plans and layouts through photos and store maps.
Those Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered
Must Have a minimum of one year related maintenance experience.
High School Diploma/GED
Valid VA driver's license
Must be able to complete the Company Vehicle Driver Training class.
Must know proper use of hand tools.
Must be able to pass a maintenance certification exam on all rides that are maintained.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos; also be able to write simple correspondence.
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast - paced work environment.
Must be able to regularly stand, sit, walk, reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch.
Must be able to work outdoors under all weather conditions.
Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
