If this describes you, we have immediate openings for 6 to 10 seasonal Event Install Technicians at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We have a fast paced work environment where fun is the key. The positions will be for 4 to 6 months and give you opportunities to expand your resume and experience.
Primary purpose and function of the Event Install Technician position:
Executes Entertainment Event Installation and Deconstruction.
Collaborates with Entertainment Production/Operations, Theming, and Theatrical Services teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Works with outside contractors.
Maintains Entertainment facilities and equipment.
Follows project timelines to ensure park and departmental goals, safety targets and objectives are obtained.
Follows department and park safety guidelines.
Participates in Theatrical Services department training programs.
Participates in other duties as assigned that support park and departmental goals and objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Installation and Deconstruction: Execute work based on park and department goals and objectives and other duties as assigned.
Education and Special Skills:
2 years experience preferred in the areas of rigging, carpentry, electrics, and sound.
Experience with hand tools required:
Must have familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFPA and IBC.
Experience operating equipment including Forklifts, Scissor and Boom Lifts preferred.
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs required.
Ability to perform outdoor work in temperature extremes and overnight shifts as required.
Associates or BA in Technical Theatre, Theatre Arts, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
