Finance Business Intern - Utility Teller (Seasonal)

Job Description: Selected candidates are placed in a Utility Teller role with the park responsible for preparing and verifying tills for processing, processing daily revenue, assisting with daily deposits, and preparing tills for replenishment at BGW & WCUSA. Interns will also be required to participate in the following developmental activities throughout the summer:

Attend seminars held by various departments within the park, including Culinary Operations, Design & Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandise, and Park Operations

Attend business, leadership, and professional development classes taught by park leadership

Park tours with members of our leadership team

Planned meeting sessions with members of the park’s senior leadership team

Complete an Internship project where interns work with leaders throughout the park on an assignment designed to improve the park and its operations

Complete an evaluation process throughout the entire internship period designed to help selected candidates gain real job experience and develop/improve their performance during the entire length of the internship

Interns will also have the experience of front-line involvement, working with a team of employees and providing support to their team as they interact with thousands of guests daily This position is not guest facing

Daily Responsibilities: Interns will be expected to perform the following responsibilities on a daily basis:

Prepare tills for delivery to drop locations in the park.

Process Daily Revenue: to include till reconcilement and cash processing

Assist with deposit preparation and till replenishment

Prepare and verify tills for processing/counting

Provide support in maintaining the daily operations of one of two Cash Control facilities

Other Duties as assigned

Requirements and Competencies

Must be currently pursuing a college degree

Proficient PC skills in Windows environment, especially Microsoft Excel and Access

Commit to working through the 2018 peak operating season (mid May– mid August)

Flexible availability (schedules include early morning (5AM) shifts, weekends and holidays)

Excellent human relations and communication skills

Effective organizational skills, ability to effectively manage time, and must be detail oriented and a team player
