Full Time Salaried Associate Marketing Manager (Social Content)
Busch Gardens & Water Country USA seeks a hardworking, passionate person to lead the Social Content/ Advertising for both parks. We are interested in someone innovative and organized with a desire to lead by example. The Associate Manager would be attentive to details and have knowledge in social media platforms and advertising capabilities. We are hoping to find someone with a consumer-centric mindset with the ability to develop strong strategic plans. This person needs to be able to multi-task, while executing well-organized plans in advance of campaigns, events and happenings at the parks. He or she should be flexible and able to respond quickly to trends and social events. We are looking for a well-rounded person with a friendly personality, comfortable with communicating with guests on a one-to-one basis. Area of focus is primarily social advertising and social content.
The Associate Marketing Manager (Social Content) has responsibilities that include:
Park representative on all social media channels – independently responds in a timely manner and able to respond instantly to ease concerns or questions in times of concern and high-traffic periods
Create branded social content packages to support key messages and campaigns for Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. Works with a variety of agencies and creative producers to develop materials for use in paid media, content channels, social media, in park and other avenues.
Lead & organize minor social content film & photo shoots- scheduling and planning
Assist Brand Content Manager with minor advertising campaigns (Spring Into Fun, Bier Fest, etc.)
Lead Water Country USA with creative agency
Develop and maintain social media voice and personality on all channels for consistency
Compile social advertising strategy and fill in trafficking sheets for media agency
Plan and manage monthly social media calendar based on assets available and needed
Compile, update and organize social media results monthly for review
Maintain and keep content calendar for each major and minor campaign up-to-date with changes
Manage status sheets and social/video/photo agency relationships
Work with Property Support Center for social needs, best practices & requests
Manage YouTube uploads and channel organization
Develop and manage Social Content budget for BGW & WCUSA
Assist with legal naming for in-park events, new locations, new shows, etc.
Support marketing managers in development of creative materials, including collateral, signage, advertising, digital content and more. Guide the creative development process and ensure quality control and brand consistency.
Research current market trends and mine consumer feedback to deliver content that is relevant, innovative and unique to our parks’ messaging priorities.
Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing or related subject.
At least 2 years’ experience in social media marketing, public relations, advertising or related field.
Travel, tourism or attraction experience preferred.
Managerial or supervisory experience a plus.
Demonstrated outstanding written, verbal and visual communications skills. Ability to convey messages clearly and persuasively.
Proven ability to create engaging content online.
Medium to advanced level in social media planning and content development a plus.
Proven strong organizational skills. Able to manage multiple projects on varying timelines with strategic prioritization.
Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and working effectively as part of team and individually.
Proven good professional judgment, especially when posting on social media channels on behalf of the parks. Poise in difficult situations.
Solid understanding of the parks’ consumers, including media consumption and communication needs.
Creative, innovative and strategic thinker.
Passion for the Busch Gardens and Water Country USA brands and ability to bring them to life in a compelling way.
Comfortable responding to guests’ concerns and questions on social media.
